It's official (pre-departure day 69)

Yes. It is official. I have been invited back on PEACEBOAT's 53rd cruise around the world. This cruise will visit 18 countries in 102 days, with most of the stops different from the last time I was on PEACEBOAT for the 39th voyage three years ago. Check out the map of the 53rd's path above.

PLACES I AM MOST SIKED ABOUT :
Libya - Who in their right mind goes to Libya? I love visiting obscure, non-conventional places. Maybe I can meet up with Colonel Kadaffi for a game of chess or something. P.S. Did you know in 2002 he hosted the first beauty pageant ever to be held on the internet?
Sicily - Uh muh ghud! I have always wanted to go to Italy, and ever since meeting my eccentric Sicilian friend Sergio I have placed Sicily at the top of my list. The last time I was on PEACEBOAT the ship passed right by Sicily and I debated whether or not to jump off and just swim to shore. We were that close!! The boat is docking in Catania, in close to proximity to where the Godfather II was filmed. I think I will rent a moped to drive there for some sicilian pizza at that cafe that Micheal's first wife's father owns.
Jamaica - Only two days, damn! But it gives me time to at least grab a coco loco at some reggae bar.

Egypt - Been there, done that. twice. I briefly lived in Egypt for a couple months in 2000, and the 39th cruise also stopped there. I have seen the pyramids many times. I have had the camel ride, and the galloping on a horse through the desert, and also the food poisoning. If there would be time to visit the red sea for some diving - now that would be a treat! But only two days so not possible.
Vietnam - I went to Vietnam two years ago for two weeks. It was fun, but since I have already been there it is not as exciting as some other places. The 53rd cruise is stopping in Danang. I am excited to get some 40 cent fruit shakes - mango, dragonfruit, and banana please!
Singapore - Again, I have been to Singapore, three times already. This will be my fourth time. I will use my day in Singpore for meeting with friends and shopping at the market to stock up on diet coke, coffee and other items I can't afford on the ship.
